Curator - Clan Macpherson Museum

This post becomes vacant on 31 October 2021. The successful applicant reports to the Trustees and has full responsibility for the Museum, including care for our collection in line with professional standards and processes required of an accredited Museum. For the open season, 1 April to 31 October, the Curator is responsible for ensuring, with the help of volunteers, that the Museum is open 7 days a week. The Curator will be responsible for developing and running our outreach and volunteer programme.

Would suit an individual or couple. Experience in the Museum or Heritage sector, or similar, is essential. The applicant must have an interest in Scottish history, a willingness to learn and good administrative and inter-personal skills.

The remuneration package includes free living accommodation, a commission on shop sales and a salary dependant on funds raised. A full job description can be viewed here.
