The Gathering 2009

On the 25th and 26th of July 2009, the greatest clan gathering the world has ever seen will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Clan Macpherson Association plans to be a part of this historic event. How we participate and to what degree depends largely upon how many Macphersons plan to attend. Since this event is shortly before our own annual Rally in Newtonmore, there are some questions to be sorted before we go ahead with planning:

• What impact will The Gathering 2009 have on the annual Rally?
• Do we adjust our usual schedule of events to mesh with those events in Edinburgh?
• Do we lay on one or more events in Edinburgh for our visiting cousins?
• Are there implications that we have yet to consider?

These questions and the attendant planning issues may be resolved if we have some rough idea of Macpherson numbers. Since we cannot simply say "Hand up all who plan to attend The Gathering", a pledge page is the next best thing.
