Open 1 April to 31 October. Monday-Saturday
10.00am-5.00pm; Sunday 12.00pm-5.00pm.
Admission Free but donations in the collection boxes are most welcome.
Assisted Wheelchair Access certified by Visit Scotland.
Disabled facilities include access, parking and toilets.
The entire exhibition is at ground floor level.

Candelabrum

The Candelabrum is not that old having been a gift of clansmen and friends to "Old Cluny" the 20th Chief of the Clan and Lady Cluny Sarah Justina Davidson on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary, 20 December 1882. Black Chanter

The historic Feadan Dubh (Black Chanter), is one of the prized possessions of the Museum. Of its origins it can only be said that they are unknown. One story tells that the Chanter fell from Heaven in the Clan Battle at the North Inch at Perth. Fiddle

The story is told that Jamie played the fiddle up to the moment of his execution, When he offered it to members of the crowd and found no one with the courage to take it from him, he therefore broke it over his knee and threw it amongst the crowd with the remark, "No one else shall play Jamie Macpherson's fiddle," It was picked up by Donald Macpherson and taken by him to Cluny.
