A Note from the Editor

There are several exciting announcements in this issue. It is very important that you take note of the AGM and the Special Banquet at Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. There are deadlines for getting in your reservations. Additionally, four of the Regions are announcing local regional meetings with events for members to get together for a meal and various types of parties. I recently published the first newsletter for our Gulf Coast Region and I would like to repeat a paragraphs from that newsletter:

One of the questions most often asked from new members of the Clan Macpherson Association is: "What do I get for my membership?" We want to have your suggestions and ideas because an equally fair question would be: "What do you want?"

It is very important that you attend these events and let your ideas, and suggestions be known. Besides, it is a good time to meet other "cousins" and relax and have fun with folks who have at least one interest in common with you.

As our Chairman pointed out, The Jubilee Editions of the Urlar, documenting our Jubilee Meeting in Scotland, are still available for US$10.00. You can send an order to Jerry Gamblin, do my address below. Thanks to all of you who wrote Letters to the Editor for this issue.

There are some very interesting notes included. And, thanks also to all the members who contributed articles for this issue of the Urlar. If you have comments on the articles, would like to add anything that would be of interest to the members, write to the editor. I certainly enjoy receiving mail from members.
